LIGHTS

<aside> 🔲 Light vessels include corvettes, frigates, destroyers, system patrol craft, and other such ships which have a displacement beneath that of cruisers. Light vessels are usually built to specialize in a specific role within a fleet or as part of a planetary defense force.

SUBCAPITALS

<aside> 🔲 ‘Subcapital’ is a relatively vague term which describes all ships beneath capital ships in displacement. This denomination includes most cruisers and mid-sized warships serving core roles in a fleet. Due to their significant advantage in size over light vessels, subcapitals are generally more versatile and well-rounded, hosting facilities devoted to large-scale operations or endurance away from friendly territory.

CAPITALS

<aside> 🔲 Defining broadly all but the absolute heaviest and largest of warships, capital ships are the core pillar of large fleets. Defined by battleships and fleet carriers in size, these massive warships serve as flagships for smaller fleets or as the main bulk of firepower in large engagements. All capital ships are extremely well-protected, and have many amenities and facilities to provide not only for themselves, but their escorts as well.
